Last week I found out about these really amazing series of fashion tv by MTV. I was probably too young to watch the channel's House of Style episodes when they aired in the early nineties, or maybe we didn't even get them here in Holland, but even now this is just so much fun to watch.

KAI-LAN VEGETABLES WITH OYSTER SAUCE

Kai-lan or Chinese broccoli with oyster sauce is probably my favourite vegetable dish in the world. Whenever me and my boyfriend go out for Chinese dinner I ALWAYS order a portion of these delicious greens. Yesterday I tried to cook it at home for the first time and although I didn't use any sesame oil* it turned out pretty perfect.

THAT'S BASICALLY IT!

I'm all about great basics. I like to spend a little extra on timeless pieces that go with every outfit and never go out of fashion. After collecting all of these I think I could die in peace.

Here are some of my favourites from the Elizabeth and James Fall 2012 Textile Look Book. I also love the regular Elizabeth and James line but there are some great basic pieces in this Textile collection that you can just wear a little more often.

RIKA SPRING 2012

I'm currently obsessing over this Rika leather jacket. When I looked at the rest of the collection in the Spring 2012 lookbook I instantly fell in love with the brand. Some stripes, a white shirt and leather jacket, a smoking dress and a bright coloured skirt.. O and I love the bordeaux details, just how I like it.

FLORA

Since spring has kind of started here i thought i should brighten the house with some flora. I bought some tulips, my fav for spring, to set up next to the plant that my boyfriend's parents gave us. I love this old chinese vase it came in!


But other than that i found a hell of a lot of inspiration online and now i find myself going crazy over all sorts of succulents and terrariums..
